- We are a local, independent charity, part of the National Citizens Advice network, representing the Torbay area.
- We offer our volunteers nationally recognised training, interesting work, a friendly team and the satisfaction of giving something back to their local community.
- We have a range of different roles that are volunteers can get involved in – both public-facing and other roles which support our work.

We generally look for volunteers in the following roles;
- Advisers / Adviceline Telephone Assessors
- Receptionists / Administrative Support
- Client Support Form Fillers – help a client find information about and complete paper and online forms with clients, for example to apply for a benefit, or to complete an application for money or equipment from a charity
- Fundraising Volunteers – We are a local charity. You would help to organise fundraising events to raise money from the local community and encourage volunteers and staff to get involved
- Research and Campaigns Volunteer – help identify common, or unfair problems that clients come for help about. understand the cause of problems, how they affects clients, and what changes would solve the problem, either at local or national level.
- IT Support Volunteers – help staff and volunteers with day to day IT issues, for example, trouble logging on to their computer, connecting to wi-fi, finding files
- Trustee – helping to plan ahead, scrutinize performance and monitor the financial position of the organisation

If you are:-
- A people person
- Have a high level of commitment
- Have good communication and listening skills
- Literate and numerate and able to analyse complex information
- Able to use computers
- A team worker
- Prepared to complete on-going training
- Able to do at least one session a week once training is complete
